Passionned about plastic design, I studied art and architecture in Saint Luc Brussel; first at college, then at university from which I received my Architecture degree in 2006.
I worked in different prestigious architecture firms such as GLH architects (Johannesburg) where i’ve been working on commercial buildings, then I switched to high-end residential architecture at Art&Architecture (Brussel) and Bureau d’Architecture Marc Corbiau (Brussel).
In 2014, I started a new project on a game farm in South Africa. The idea was to build an Eco Lodge with low impact materials such as soil to bridge the gap between old vernacular building techniques and modern and minimalistic design. After a process of testing the materials and the techniques on a worker’s house, I started building the 400sqm lodge with a few unskilled workers. Witklipfontein Eco Lodge was born and the concept is there today with a standing reminder that we can build in a more respectful manner.
